ORDINANCE NO. 1 3 6 AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DIS TRIC T AWARDING CON TRACT .... SOLIDS HANDLING SYSTEM, SCHEDULE "F" BE IT ENACTED by 'the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility Di strict: WHEREAS, pursuant to order of this Board of Directors of 'the South Tahoe Public Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, notice has been duly given for receiving of bids for work under RESOLUTION NO. 762, a Resolution of the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District Calling for Notice 'to Contractors for Sealed Proposals for Construction of a Public Utility Works - Solids Handling System (Schedule "F"), and said bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on January 26, 1967, and have been duly considered by said Board; NOW, THEREFORE, i't is ordered by said Board of Directors as follows: 1o Said Board hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids, except tha't bid hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing 'the work and improvements and furnishing of materials, supplies and equip- men't necessary for construction of a new solids handling system (Schedule F) to the lowest responsible bidder, 'to wit, BARTLETT-SNOW-PACIFIC, INC., 3100 Nineteenth Street, San Francisco, California, at the bid price named in its bid 'to wi'th: $906,500.00; provided, however, that this award of contract is subject to the express condi'tion that said award will not become effective unless and until wri'tten approval has been received from the United States Departmen't of the Interior, Federal Water Pollution Control Administra- tion. -2- 2. The Presiden't of 'the Board of Directors is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written con'tract with said successful bidder and to receive and approve all bonds in connection 'therewith, and 'the Clerk is hereby directed 'to attest his signature and affix thereto the corporate seal of said District, all in accordance with plans and specifications and special conditions and notice to bidders thereto approved and placed on file wi'th the District, subject 'to approval of 'the Uni'ted states Depart- merit of the Interior, Federal Water Pollution control Administration. 3. Upon adoption, 'this Ordinance shall be posted in three (3) public places at least seven (7) days prior to 'the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its passage, and shall be published in the TAHOE DAILY TRIBUNE, a newspaper of general circulation in 'the District one (1) · time a't least seven days prior 'to thirty days from the date of i'ts passage, and shall be effective upon receipt of said writ'ten approval or upon expiration of 'thirty (30) days after passage of this Ordinance, whichever occurs later.
