AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY
DISTRICT AWARDING CONTRACT - FOR EFFLUENT DISPOSAL
SYSTEM-LUTHER PASS PIPELINE, SCHEDULE B, PUMP
STATION NO. 2
WHEREAS, pursuant to order of this Board of Directors of the
S£i~TH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado, State of California,
notice was duly given for receiving of bids for work under Resolution No. 683,
a Resolution of the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
calling for Notice to Contractors for Sealed Proposals for Construction of a
Public Utility Works - Effluent Disposal System, Luther Pass Pipeline Schedule B,
Pump Station No. 2, and said bids for a public utility works - construction of a
new pump station nominal initial capacity of seven and one-half million gallons
per day,that were publicly opened, examined and declared on August 8, 1966, and
at a special meeting on September 7, 1966, all matters were duly considered by
said Board:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by said Board of Directors as
follows:
1. Said Board hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids,
except that bid hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing
the work and improvements and furnishing of materials, supplies and equipment
necessary for construction of the Luther Pass Pipeline, Schdule B, Pump Station No.2
having a nominal initial capacity of seven and one-half million gallons per day,
to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit, UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY,
INCORPORATED, of San Leandro, California, at their bid price named in their bid
in the total price of Three Hundred Eighty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars,
($382,900.00).
2. The President of the Board of Directors is hereby authorized
to make and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder and to
and notice to bidders thereto approved and placed on file with the District, as
approved by the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development
Administration.
3. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be posted in three (3)
public places at least seven (7) days prior to the expiration of thirty (30)
days from the date of its passage, and shall be published in the TAHOE DAILY TRIBUNE,
a newspaper of general circulation in the District one (1) time at least seven
days prior to thirty days from the date of its adoption, and shall be effective
hereinafter as provided by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public
Utility District, at a duly held special meeting on the 7th day of September,
1966, by the following vote:
