AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 162
AND PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR ALL

BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, as follows:
1. That SeotLon 12 - STANDBY AND EMERGENCY.ASSIGNMENTS d. of
ORDINANCE NO. 162 is hereby added to read as follows: For emergency work
calls employees shall receive: a minimum of two hours pay; for over two hours
work but less than {our hours work, four hours pay; all time to be paid for at
one and one-half tlr-es basic rate.
2. That Sect[on 20 - HOLIDAYS of ORDINANCE NO. 162 is hereby
amended to read for the per[od ending December 31, 1970, as follows:
a. All regular employees of the DISTRICT shall be entitled to holidays
with pay, and no others unless affirmatively made so byresolut[on of the
Board of Directors as follows:
1. January 1, February 12, February 22, May 30, July 4, First lv, onday
in September, September 9, October 12, November 11, Thanksgiving
Day, December 25, Good Friday, between hours of 12:00 Noon and
3:00 P.M.
2. When January 1, February 12, February 22, l¥,ay 30, ~uly 4,
September 9, October 12, November 11, or December 25 falls on
Sunday, regular employees shall be entitled to the Monday following
as a holiday with pay, and when the dates fall on a Saturday, the
employees shall be entitled to the Friday preceding as a holiday
w [th pay.
b. In the event work schedules prevent an employee from taking a
prescribed holiday, the employee shall receive pay at a rate equal
to his daily rate times 1-1/2 for February 12, February 22, September 9,
October 12, November 11, and Good Friday, between the hours of

12:00 Noon and 3:00 P.M., or his daily rate times 2 for January 1,
May 30, July 4, the First ivionday in Septer~ber, Thanksgiving Day,
and December 25.
Regular employees whose work schedules include holidays, may
be granted one or more days off with pay each month in which a
holiday or holidays occur, in lieu of the prescribed holidays tf
work schedules will allow.
The provisions of subsection b above is in addition to a regular
employee's pay or in lieu of day off, but is the only holiday pay
for temporary employees.
That Section 20 - HOLIDAYS of ORDINANCE 162 is hereby amended to
read, on or after January 1, 1971, as follows:
a. All regular employees of the DISTRICT shall be entitled to holidays
with pay, and no others, unless affirmatively made so byresolut[on
of the Board of Directors as follows:
1. January 1, February 12, the third iV!onday of February, the last
l¥1onday of iway, July 4, the first ~v~onday of September, September 9,
the second Monday of October, the fourth ~¥~onday of October,
Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and Good Friday, between the
hours of 12:00 Noon and 3:00 P.A4.
2. a. When January 1, February 12, July 4, September 9 or December 25
falls on Sunday, regular employees shall be entitled to the iV~onday
following as a holiday with pay, and when the dates fall on a
Saturday, the regular employees shall be entitled to the Friday

This ORDINANCE shall take effect upon the expiration of thirty (30)
days after its passage and shall be posted by the Clerk of SOUTH TAHOE
PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT at three (3) public places £n said DISTRICT at
least one week before the expiration of said period after [ts passage and
shall further be published in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of
general circulation, one ( 1 ) t[rse only, at least ( 1 ) one week before the
expiration of said period.

This ORDINANCE adds Sect[on 12 d. and amends Sect[on 20 of ORDINANCE
NO. 162 of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT. In all other respects
said ORDINANCE NO. 162, passed and adopted by the Board of Directors
of said DISTRICT on February 15, 1968, as amended by ORDINANCE NO. 174,
passed and adopted by said Board of Directors of said DISTRICT on August 15,
1968, is herebyratif[ed, confirmed and in full force and effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a duly held meeting of the Board of Dfrectors
of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on August 6, 1970, by the
