AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 114
AND 137 AND PROVIDING FOR SEWER SERVICE
CHARGES PAYABLE IN ADVANCE
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC
UTILITY DISTRICT as follows:
1. That Article III, Sec. 3.02 Schedule of Units of Ordinance No. 114 is
hereby amended as follows: The following is a schedule of the number of units to
be applied to the several types of connections to the sewer system of this District:
(a) Home and apartments: A minimum of three (3) units for each home
or each apartment plus an additional unit for each bath or half bath in excess of
two baths.
(b) Motels: Each bath, 1 unit. Each kitchen, 1 unit.
(c) Restaurant: 1 unit per restroom. 5 units for the first 20 seats, plus
1 additional unit for every 20 seats or fraction thereof over 20. For the purposes of
this section, where a bar is operated in connection with a restaurant, bar stools will
be counted as seats.

No. 114, is hereby rescinded.
Taverns without food facilities: 5 units, plus 1 unit for each

Stores: 1 unit per restroom. The charge for any other facilities in
a store requiring sewage disposal shall be set by the Board.
Theaters: 2 units per restroom.
3.04 Draining Swimminq Pools of Ordinance
3, That Article III, Sec. 4.03 Delinquency of Ordinance No. 114, as
amended by Ordinance No. 137 is hereby amended as follows: Statements which
have not been paid before the 5th day of August following the mailing of the State-
ments of Charges shall be delinquent.
4. That Article IV, Sec. 4.04 Penalties of Ordinance No. 114 is hereby
amended as follows: Sec. 4.04 Discounts. A discount of $1.00 or one percent
(1%) of the charge, whichever is greater, shall be subtracted therefrom if the charges
are paid in full on or before the date that they become delinquent.
5. That Article IV, Sec. 4.05 Action to Collect of Ordinance No. 114 is
hereby amended as follows: An action may be brought by the District against the
person or persons who occupied the premises, or against the person to whom the
premises are assessed for tax purposes, when the service was rendered for the
collection of the amount of delinquent charges and costs of collection, including
reasonable attorney's fees, to be fixed by the Court.
6. That Article IV, Sec. 4.06 (a) Filing and Posting of Ordinance No.
114 is hereby amended as follows: The person or his deputy who bills and collects
the charges shall sign a statement of the amount of the charges which have been
accrued and shall file it with the officer whose duty it is to post the tax roll, and
he shall post the amounts thereof in the column of the roll where improvement
assessments are posted and opposite the property affected.

7, This Ordinance shall take effect upon the expiration of thirty (30)
days after its passage or July 1, 1970, whichever is later in time, and shall be
posted by the Clerk of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT at three (3) public
places in said District at least one week before the expiration of said period after
its passage and shall further be published in the TAHOE DAILY TRIBUNE, a news-
paper of general circulation one (1) time only, at least one (1) week before the
expiration of said period.
8. This Ordinance amends Article III, Sections 3.02, and 3.04
and Article IV, Section 4.03, 4.04, 4.05, and 4.06, of Ordinance No. 114 of SOUTH
TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, and further amends Ordinance No. 137 of said
District in its entirety and supersedes and nullifies said Ordinance No. 137. In all
other respects, said Ordinance No. 114, passed and adopted by the Board of Directors
of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on November S, 1964, as amended by
Ordinance No. 134, passed and adopted by said Board of Directors of said District
on October 20, 1966, is hereby ratified, confirmed and in full force and effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the
SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT on April 2, 1970, by the
