Ordinance No. 159 - RetiredORDINANCE NO. !59 AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY D, iISTRICT AWARDING CONTRACT - AMMONIA STRIPPING TOWER: SCHEDULE "N" BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District:' WHEREAS, pursuant to order of this Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California., notice has been duly given for receiving of bids for work under RESOLUTION No. 933, a Resolution of the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District calling for Notice to Contractors for Sealed Proposals for Construction of a Public Utility Works - Ammonia. Stripping Tower (Schedule "N"), and said bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on November 28, 1967, and have been duly considered by said Board; NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered by said Board of Directors as follows: 1. Said Board hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids,except that bid hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing of materials, supplies and equipment necessary for construction of a Ammonia Stripping Tower, Schedule "N" (Deductive Alternate "A" Wood Structural Members), to wit, P.M.I. Corporation, P.O. Box 15264, Sacramento, California, at the unit prices in its bid; provided, however, that this award of contract is subject to the express condition that said award will not become effective unless and until written approval has been received from the United States Department of the Interior, Federal Water Pollution Control Administration. -2- 2 o The President of the Board of Directors is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Clerk is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix thereto the corporate seal of said District, all in accordance with plans and specifications and special conditions and notice to bidders thereto approved and placed on file with the District, subject to approval of the United States Department of the Interior, Federal Water Pollution Control Admin istration. 3. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be posted in three (3) public places at least seven (7) days prior to the expiration of thirty (3D) days from the date of its passage, and shall be published in the TAHOE DAILY TRIBUNE~ a newspaper of general circulation in the District one (1) time at least seven days prior to thirty days from the date of its passage, and shall be effective upon receipt of said written approval or upon expiration of thirty (30) days after passage of this Ordinance, whichever occurs later.
