Ordinance No. 296 - RetiredORDINANCE NO. 296 AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION OF THE ASSISTANT DISTRICT ENGINEER/PROCESS EVALUATION ENGINEER OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, as follows: That the Assistant District Engineer/Process Evaluation Engmneer is an Officer of the District, and shall receive as compensation for said office, the sum of TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS ($2,610.00) per month, and, WHEREAS, the duties of the Assmstant District Engineer/ Process Evaluation Engineer are as follows: DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the District Manager, is responsible for the management of the water supply, wastewater operation, and maintenance divisions and performs other Management and Administrative duties as required. REQUIRES RESPONSIBILITY FOR: 1. Interpreting, carrying out, coordinating and enforcing plant operations, methods and processes to assure maximum treatment efficiency and maintenance of stated treatment objectives. 2. Developing new operating processes and operating techniques. 3. Making regular contacts with other divisions and outsmde agencies relative to specialized aspects of sewer and water supply operations. EXA>IPLE OF DUTIES: 1. Continuously reviews wastewater plant operations both physically and through evaluation of operating reports and laboratory tests, in order to evaluate plant performance and to determine the need for changes in methods or processes. 2. Plans, assigns and supervises studies of wastewater plant operations, and research into new methods or processes, and evaluates the results of such studies and their application to plant operation. 3. Plans and reviews, with others, maintenance procedures and repairs necessary to operate equipment. 4. Exercises control over the expenditure of funds allocated for wastewater and water supply operation and maintenance. 5. Supervises and participates in the preparation of the District budget and in the maintenance of records and preparation of operational reports. 6. Supervises, trains and rates the performance of the plant operating staff. 7. Establishes and maintains employee safety programs and procedures. Ordinance No. 296 -2- 8. Cooperates with other utilities and departments of political subdivisions. 9. Performs engineering survey, design, inspection and test work. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be posted by the Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District in three [3) public places, at least one [1) week before the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption, and shall be pub£is~ed in tl~e Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said District one (1) time, at least one [1) week before the expiration of said thirty [30) days after its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of June 1979, at a duly held meeting of the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT by the following vote: AYES: Directors Cocking, Fieldcamp, Jones and Kashuba.
