AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 162 AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION, BENEFITS,
AND WORKING CONDITIONS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES OF
THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public
Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, as follows:
1. That Subsection j. - STEP of Section 2 - DEFINITIONS of Ordinance
No. 162 is hereby amended to read as fOllows:

3. That Subsection a.1. of Section 8 - MERIT INCREASE IN SALARY STEP of
Ordinance No. 162 is hereby amended to read as follows:
The employee must have earned the equivalent of at least six months
of full time eligible service since his merit increase date for increases from steps A,
G,D,E, andF, 12 months service from stepB, and five years from stepG.
4. That Subsection b.3. of Section 8 - MERIT INCREASE IN SALARY STEP of
Ordinance No. 162 is hereby amended to read as follows:
An employee in step H shall not have a merit increase date, and
service tn step H shall not be considered as eligible service for future increases.
5. This Ordinance amends Sections 2.j., 4.a.2., 8.a.l., and 8.b.3., of
Ordinance No. 162, as amended by Ordinance Nos. 201, 203, and 209 and supersedes
Ordinance No. 174, of South Tahoe Public Utility District. In all other respects said
Ordinance No. 162 is hereby ratified, confirmed, and in full force and effect.
6. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the expiration of thirty (30) days
after its passage and shall be posted by the Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility
District at least one week before the expiration of said period after its passage and
shall further be published in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, one (1) time only, at least one (1) week before the expiration of said period.
