Ordinance No. 261 - SupersededORDINANCE NO. 2 6 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 250 AND 257 AND ESTABLISHING WATER RATES BE IT ENACTED, by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, E1 Dorado County, California as follows: 1. That Section 7 of Ordinance No. 250, as amended by Ordinance No. 257 be amended as follows: SECTION 7. ESTABLISHMENT OF WATER SERVICE RATES AND CHARGES 7.1. Service may be taken for either the summer season, May 1, through October 31, or the winter season, November 1 through April 30, or both seasons. 7.2. Within Water Service Area Numbers One and Two, for the various types of water service provided to customers therein, the following water service rates and charges are hereby established. 7.3. SCHEDULE II SEASONAL METERED SERVICE Monthly Quantity Rates: First 1,000 cu.ft, or less (@ 60¢ per 100) Over 1,000 cu.ft., per 100 cu.ft. Per Meter Per Month $ 6.00 .40 Seasonal Minimum Charge: For 5/8x3/4 inch meter $ 36.00 For 3/4 inch meter 47.50 For 1 inch meter 65.00 For 1 1/2 inch meter 100.00 For 2 inch meter 150.00 For 3 inch meter 300.00 For 4 inch meter 450.00 Per Meter Per Season The Seasonal Minimum Charge will entitle the customer to the quantitY of water each month which one-sixth of the Seasonal Minimum Charge will purchase at the Monthly Quantity Rates. SCHEDULE III 7.5. PRIVATE FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE There will be no charge for annual standby fire protection services, however, the applicant shall conform to the special conditions set forth hereunder. SCHEDULE IV 7.6 SERVICE CHARGES For reconnection of a water service when disconnected by request or for non-payment of account, during regular working hours (per service call) For reconnection or disconnection of a water service when reconnected or dis- connected by request or for non-payment of account, after regular working hours, Saturdays, Su~days and Holidays (per service call) $ 5.00 20.00 SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. The minimum diameter for fire protection service shall be 2 inches and the maximum diameter shall not be larger than the diameter of the main to which the service is connected. 2. If a distribution main of adequate size to serve a fire protection connection, in addition to all other normal service, does not exist in the street adjacent to the premises to be served hereunder, then a service main from the nearest existing main of adequate capacity shall be installed by the District at the cost of the applicant. The amounts paid by the applicant hereunder to establish fire protection service shall not be subject to refund. 3. Connections for private fire protection systems shall be equipped with standard detector type meters approved by the Board of Fire Underwriters and the cost of the meter and appurtenant structures shall be paid, without refund, by the applicant. 4. For water delivered for other than fire protection purposes, charges will be made at the quantity rates under the seasonal metered service schedule. 2. This Ordinance amends Section 7 of Ordinance No. 250, passed and adopted by said Board of Directors of said District on August 29, 1974 and as amended by Ordinance No. 257, passed and adopted by said Board of Directors of said District October 30, 1975. In all other respects, said Ordinance No. 250 and 257 is ratified, confirmed, and in full force and effect. 3. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be posted by the Clerk of the South Tahoe Public Utility District in three (3) public places, at least one (1) week before the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption, and shall be published in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said District at least one (1) time, at least one (1) week before the expiration of said thirty (30) days after its adoption.
