Ordinance No. 272 - Retired ORDINANCE NO. 272 A~ ORDINANCE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT-JOHNSON BOULEVARD INTERCEPTOR SEWER EXTENSION. BE IT ENACTED, by the Board of Directors of the SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT, E1 Dorado County, California, that WHEREAS, pursuant to order of this Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California, notice has been duly given for receiving of bids for work under RESOLUTION NO. 2080, "A Resolution of the Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public Utility District Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Notice to Contractors for Proposals for Construction of Johnson Boulevard Interceptor Sewer Entensio~ and said bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on September 12, 1977, and have been duly considered by said Board; NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered by said Board of Directors as follows: 1. That the bid of H.M. Byars Construction Company was non-responsive as H.M. Byars Construction Company failed to include in their proposal Addendum No. 2. 2. That the bid of Gerhardt and Berry Construction, Inc., is the lowest responsive bidder. 3. That this Board hereby rejects all of said proposals except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards Contract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary, therefore, to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit: -2- Gerhardt and Berry Construction, Inc. P.O. Box 7637 Reno, Nevada 89510 at the unit prices named in its bid. 4. The President of the Board of Directors is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Clerk is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix thereto the corporate seal of said District, all in accordance with plans and specifications and special conditions and notice to bidders thereto approved and placed on file with the District, subject to approval of General Manager/District Engineer and the District's General Counsel. 5. Upon adoption, this Ordinance shall be posted in ~hree (3) public places at least seven (7) days prior to the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its passage, and shall be published in the Tahoe Daily Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in the District one (1) time at least seven days prior to thirty days from the date of its passage, and shall be effective upon receipt of said written approval or upon ex- piration of thirty (30) days after passage of this Ordinance whichever occurs later.
