Ordinance No. 429 - Amended 1 2 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 I7 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 ORDINANCE NO. 429 AN ORDINANCE OF SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT PROViDiNG FOR DETERMiNATiON OF TttE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER AND REPEAL OF ORDINANCE NO. 380 The Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT finds: Where items contracted for by bid consist entirely of personal property, the additional cost to the DISTRICT'S customer for such personal property is at least one percent (1%) of the bid if the bidder does not have a fixed place of business within the DISTRICT boundaries for local sales tax revenue for such personal property. THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Directors of SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT as follows: 1) In accordance with Sections 20202.1 et seq Californ Public Contract Code, contracts to furnish personal property to the DISTRICT shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. 2) Where personal property to be supplied to the DISTRICT will provide local sales tax revenue for the benefit of DISTRICT'S customers, one percent (1%) of the bid shall be deducted from the bid of those bidders having a fixed place of business within the DISTRICT boundaries for those items of personal property bid, for the sole purpose of determining the lowest responpible bidder. 3) This Ordinance supersedes any Ordinance, Resolution, Rule, or Regulation heretofore adopted by the DISTRICT in deter- mining the lowest responsible bidder for personal property.
