AN ORDINANCE OF THE SOUTH TAHOE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT TO
CONSOLIDATE, SUPERSEDE, AND RETIRE EXISTING ORDINANCES
BE IT ENACTED, by the Board of Directors of South Tahoe
Public Utility District, County of E1 Dorado, State of California
as follows:
SECTION I-FINDINGS
A. The Board of Directors of the District has determined
that the existing system of organization of the Ordinances of the
District has become burdensome and unworkable.
B. In an effort to consolidate and modernize the Ordinances
of the District, the Board of Directors has determined that it is
in the best interests of the District to retire the Ordinances
which no longer contribute to the operation of the District.
C. In a further effort to consolidate and modernize the
ordinances of the District, the Board of Directors has determined
it is in the best interests of the D~strict to officially
supersede those ordinances that have been effectively superseded
by subsequent ordinances, although not specifically superseded by
an action of the Board.
SECTION II- DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Ordinance, the terms used herein
are defined as follows:
A. The District: The South Tahoe Public Utility District.
B. The Board: The Board of Directors of South Tahoe Public
Utility District.
C. Retirement: The term used in referring to those
ordinances which are withdrawn permanently from normal services
of the District.
D. Supersede: The term used in referring to those
ordinances which have been set aside as void by a ~subsequent
ordinance.
SECTION III - RETIREMENT OF EXISTING ORDINANCES
The Board of Directors of the District determined that this
Ordinance 451 hereby retires the following ordinances:

The Board of Directors of the District determined that this
Ordinance 451 hereby supersedes the following ordinances:
77, 164, 234, 347, 348, 351, 376, 397, and 426.
SECTION V - SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph,
sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance, is for any reason
held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The Board hereby
declares that it would have passed each section, subsection,
subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase thereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections,
subsections, subdivisions, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or
phrases be declared invalid.
