Resolution 2779-04 \., RESOLUTION NO. 2119-04 2 3 4 5 A Resolution of the South Tahoe Public Utility Dlshict Rescinding Resolution No. 2111-03 Related to ExempHon from Competitive Bidding Procedures for Bakersfield Well MTBE Treatment System Construction and Installation BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District, 6 County of EI Dorado, State of California, as follows: 7 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution No. 2777-03 on September 18, 8 2003, which authorized an exemption from competitive bidding procedures to negotiate 9 directly with U.S. Filter for an MTBE treatment system utilizing granulated activated carbon 10 absorption at the Bakersfield Well: and 11 WHEREAS, due to the discovery of TBA (tertiary butyl alcohol) in the groundwater, \..; 12 U.S. Filter's treatment system is no longer the most efficient, reliable, or economically 13 preferred treatment system. 14 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, AS FOLLOWS: The Board of Directors of the South 16 15 Tahoe Public Utility District rescinds Resolution No. 2777-03.
